Port forwarding

Forward Ports… in the detail header of a pod or a Service opens a local tunnel to it, like kubectl port-forward.

  1. Pick the remote port and the local port on your Mac.
  2. Click Start forwarding.
  3. Open in browser opens localhost on that port.

For a Service, the popover lists every port it declares and forwards to a ready pod behind it, resolving the target port by number or by name, the same way kubectl port-forward svc/… does.

Active tunnels show as chips, so you always know what is open. Stop forwarding closes one. Tunnels keep running while you open other clusters; they end when you close the cluster.
